The Lehigh Valley Coalition for Health Care Reform is a brand new grassroots coalition of concerned citizens and health care professionals who believe that the new health care law, the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act (PPACA), also known as "ObamaCare," will not accomplish any the things its name implies.

The new law will, in fact, increase the cost and diminish the quality of health care, reduce access to quality health care, extend an unprecedented level of government control over Americans' health care choices, further destabilize the already troubled Medicare and Medicaid programs, cost trillions of dollars we can't afford, and still leave over 20 million Americans uninsured by 2019.

We support defunding, repealing, nullifying and replacing the PPACA with real reforms that will achieve the goals that the PPACA's supporters claimed their entirely partisan law would achieve.

A Rasmussen poll conducted July 27-28, 2011 shows that 57% of Americans want to see the law repealed, while only 36% oppose repealing the bill that Nancy Pelosi said Congress had to pass to find out what was in it. The more Americans learn about both the intended and unintended effects of the PPACA, the less they like it.

Our group, therefore, will focus on educating the public about the provisions of the bill, as well as tracking and supporting efforts to repeal and replace it."
